Markets prices move against the trend with a visible struggle.
As another result of this conflict between trends, corrective waves are quite a bit more varied than motive waves.

The struggle between these opposite forces makes corrective waves harder to follow and creates a very difficult trading environment.
If we look at Elliott wave correction patterns, as the lead up to the next momentum move, then corrective patterns stop being the enemy and become your friend.
